Good skin care begins with knowing what kind of skin your have, what special issues you have, and what products work best for your skin. In this video we show you how to identify your skin type and choose skin care products that best suit you.
Skin Care Routine
Healthy diet and lifestyle choices make a big difference in your skin's appearance. It is also important to establish a routine that includes cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting.
Step 1 Skin Type: Dry Skin
If you have dry skin, which often occurs in women over 35, Moisturizing is essential. Moisturized skin is the key to good makeup application.
Example: DDF Amplifying Elixir
Step 2 Skin Type: Combination Skin
Many women have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. This is combination skin and it is important that you use moisturizers and cleansers designed specifically to treat the two issues.
Example: Olay Foaming Facewash
Step 3 Skin Type: Oily
Oily skin can often breakout. There are many products that help with acne and the occasional breakout.
Examples: Olay Pro-X Clear, DDF Weightless Defense Oil-Free Hydrator and the DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask
Step 4 Skin Type: Sensitive
If you have sensitive skin consult with a dermatologist to determine the cause and decide on a product line.
Example: DDF Sensitive Skin Cleansing Gel
Tip
- For sensitive skin: wait a least 5 minutes after washing to apply any products; skin is more receptive to irritants when damp.
